I found this amazing product called Coconut Aminos Teriyaki which helps to encourage kids to eat more vegetables. My boys will eat almost any stir fried vegetable with this on top. I use coconut oil to stir fry the vegetables. Then, add sea salt and sprinkle with Coconut Aminos Teriyaki sauce. Watch in awe as you see your kids devour bitter vegetables like brussel sprouts and bok choy. This is a great alternative to soy sauce and is filled with healthy ingredients. The ingredients are coconut sap, sea salt, organic ginger, organic onion, organic garlic, and cayenne pepper.
Coconut Aminos Teriyaki is a great alternative to soy sauce for people who are sensitive to soy products. I am unable to eat any soy products without harming my hormone balance.
This topic of consuming soy reminds me of an interesting article I recently read by Dr. Mercola. He recommends eating fermented soy products such as natto, tempeh, soy sauce and miso, but strongly discourages eating non fermented and processed soy products such as soy milk, soy burgers, soy ice cream and soy cheese. My favorite non soy based miso is from South River Miso Company and is called Chickapea Miso. Here is the link to read more about this miso. http://www.southrivermiso.com/store/c/1-1-Year-Miso.html
Below are Dr. Mercola’s thoughts on soy:

Healthy Halloween Treats by Ritamarie Loscalzo is my favorite recipe book to pull out during Halloween. It is so fun seeing how excited the kids get about trick or treating and I can’t help to reflect back on childhood with magical memories of this time. The most challenging part of this season is figuring out what to do with all the candy. So far, my boys have traded the candy for something they really want like Legos or quarters. Given a choice between candy and a fruit like strawberies, they would choose the fruit every time. Preparing a healthy and creative treat from this book, makes them feel like they aren’t missing out, but that other kids are missing out instead : ) Below is our favorite recipe from this awesome book. My family loves this healthy popcorn recipe and everyone begs for it, especially in winter. My husband wants everyone to try this recipe, because ” it must be tasted in order to see how delicious it really is!” Ghee has a buttery taste, but does not cause allergies for most people who have dairy sensitivities. Ghee is called clarified butter. It is made from butter, but the milk solids and impurities have been removed. It is very nutritious and is a great source of vitamins A, D, and E. Ghee is full of vitamin K2 and CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid). CLA is an antioxidant which is has anti viral properties. Continue reading Best Popcorn Ever
This recipe is delicious and resembles the texture of mashed potatoes. It is important to find a very large celery root because much of the outer peel is removed during preparation. It is very important to use organic.
